What MMY youth shared in our 2022 annual report.
The MMY has done so much for me. It gave me the opportunity to make connections, be more involved with my community, and most importantly it built my character and helped me become a better person. It means a lot to me because it's like a second family.
Being a part of the MMY was the best decision I've made. The hours that I spend volunteering for the MMY are the best part of my week. I always look forward to coming into the center and seeing other volunteers and my close friends, I don't feel like I'm just helping out the community but I feel like I am with my family.
The MMY Center gave me a community. I didn't know anyone upon moving here and I quickly became one with the mission of the center and its people. Through the MMY, I've gotten an opportunity to meet new people, make amazing friends, and do what I love most: empowering local youth.
The Murfreesboro Muslim Youth organization has helped me a lot in 2022. As an individual, I have grown in significant ways. I've made many new friends, developed personal relationships, and learned new things, all while having the opportunity to give back and help others in my community.
The MMY has not only assisted me with learning about the community but what it means to be part of the community.
MMY has helped me further my Islamic belief and has also formed new connections and relationships for me with people that have the same beliefs.

When I came to TN, and found an organization that prioritizes community service that was very intriguing and exciting to me. It also meant a lot because community service is a big part of our religion.
