Educational Activities
Peer-led tutoring, study sessions, and workshops for young people at the MMY Center in Murfreesboro.
Youth teaching youth. MMY young leaders run workshops and study sessions in the subjects they've mastered, and learn new ones alongside their peers.
Sessions take place at the MMY Center and cover school subjects, life skills, and faith.
What we do
Education at MMY has included tutoring for students in grades 1 through 12 at the MMY Center, English as a Second Language classes with Read To Succeed, Quran study, and our Learn to Read the Quran course, a six-month course that teaches non-Arabic speakers to read the Quran in Arabic.
Most sessions are led by young people teaching other young people, which builds skills and confidence on both sides.
