Three students died for who they were. Their legacy lives on in students who continue what they started.
Our scholarship at Middle Tennessee State University is named in memory of our Three Winners: Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha, and Razan Abu-Salha. It supports MTSU students pursuing education with purpose and a commitment to serving others.
22 scholarships have been granted so far. MTSU students can view the scholarship and apply through MTSU's scholarship portal.
What we do
The scholarship honors Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha, and Razan Abu-Salha, the three young Muslims killed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 2015, whose story led to MMY's founding.
Supporting local students' education has been part of MMY's community work since our early years, and the scholarship keeps the Three Winners' commitment to service and learning alive in Middle Tennessee State University students.
